My name Mia Burke, and I am a Mother of two kids Emma and Jack. I desire to come to Canada with my family to start anew and give the opportunity for my kids to have a better quality of life. I have already taken the immigration qualification test and scored a total of 69 points which qualifies me to come to Canada. This opportunity would give my children and I the chance to better safety, health, political, and economic factors in Canada. Although I have one problem, my husband has a criminal record and because of this I don’t know if my family will be accepted into Canada.
The scene shows the Mother who wishes to immigrate to Canada. The mother is able to speak both French and English. The mother has already been offered a job in Canada and is only waiting to see if her husband will get accepted into Canada too.

Once the mom completes the immigration qualification test and scores a total of 69 points; therefore, allowing her to immigrate into Canada. She asks her husband to take the immigration qualification test. Although, he takes the test and receives a score lower than the minimum qualification score.
Once her husband get a score lower than the minimum the parents begin to wonder why he is not able to immigrate into Canada. They go over all the results that they got from the test and begin to see where and why they got a lower score in that category.

Firstly starting with the education that the dad had. He has a bachelor in science and a diploma for engineer. The total number of possible points for this category is 25 and he scored a 19.
The next category that he did poorly on was his background work experience. Although he had a high paying salary with his job in New Brunswick he mentioned that he was fired from his last job due to and incident that had occurred in his work place. Him and his coworker got in trouble for not making sure all the safety procedures were being followed; and therefore, they were both fired. Out of the total possible points in this category he receives a 3.
