  • That "banished," that one word "banished," had slain ten thousand Tybalts

  • Here from Verona art thou banished. Be patient, for the world is broad and wide
  • Tybalt and Mercutio start fighting and Tybalt stabs Mercutio, killing him. As revenge, Romeo then stabs Tybalt and gets banished.
  • Act 3 Scene 4
  • She shall be married to this noble earl
  • Juliet finds out that Tybalt is dead, and she is very depressed because of this. Then she finds out that Romeo has been banished which makes her even more depressed.
  • Act 3 Scene 5
  • I will not marry yet, and when I do I swear it shall be Romeo, whom you know I hate, rather than Paris
  • Romeo and Friar Lawrence discuss how horrible it is that he will be banished. Then, the Nurse comes rushing in and gives Romeo a ring from Juliet as a symbol of their love as Romeo plans to visit Juliet.
  • Capulet and Paris talk about how Juliet and Paris should soon be wed. The two decide that it will take place on Thursday.
  • Romeo secretly visits Juliet, but soon has to leave and tells her that they will see each other again. Lady Capulet then tells Juliet that she will marry Paris, but Juliet refuses.
