Welcome to my YouTube channel! My name is Sam and I am here to tell you all about my favorite baking ingredient....flour!!
In order to measure this ingredient, you will need a DMC, a spoon, straight edge spatula, and possibly even a sifter!
First, some recipes call for sifting the flour, while others don't. You must spoon your flour into the DMC, and then level off the extra with a straight edge spatula!
There are many different types of flour, the most universal type being All-Purpose flour. This can be used for all baking or cooking that requires flour.
Other types of flours include Bread Flour, Whole-Wheat Flour, Rye Flour, Oat Flour, Potato Starch Flour, and many more!
Although there are many different types of flour, they all have the same function in common: providing structure!
Sorry for the change of scenery, my mom needed to use the kitchen! Anyways-
Thank you guys so much for watching, I hope you learned a thing or two! This is Sam saying: NEVER scoop flour, always spoon it.
