The winds pushed Odysseus and his crew to a place called Laestrygonia. The Laestrygonians were a race of cannibal giants, that turned some of the scouts that Odysseus sent out to search the island, into meals. When Odysseus found this out, him and his crew fled back to their ships as the cannibals threw rocks and sunk every boat but Odysseus's.
Odysseus and his crew return to Circe's island only to bury one of his crew members that had fallen off of a roof and died. Circe also gives the advice to Odysseus, to avoid Charybdis and go towards Scylla to lose as less men as possible.
Odysseus travels to the Land of the Dead to talk to Tiresias the blind prophet. When he arrives Tiresias tells him that Poseidon is seeking revenge on Odysseus and his crew for blinding his son, Polyphemus. Then he tells Odysseus that he will eventually return home to Ithaca and be reunited with his wife, but him and his crew must not touch the cattle on the island of the sun god.
