Cookie was a female dog with a little over 40 pups and is a tough dog and also a aggressive one too and loves her pups more than anything. Rex was a male dog that was friends with cookie and helped cookie take care of the pups. Gary Paulsen is also a friend of cookies and loves the pups deeply. The setting is a shelter in Montana and the exposition is about cookie and the the pups being sled dogs.
The moment she dies
cookie had more than 40 pups so she had a hard time keeping all of them under control even with rex on her side to help out.
End of journey
The climax is when cookie gets arthritis and is told she will only be fine if she retires being a sled dog and after cookie decided to retire, she came to Gary Paulsen's house.
Some falling action was when cookie started to stay at home with Gary Paulsen and made the garden her own until one day she was in the garden and when Gary Paulsen called her, he found her next to a spruce tree dead with her eyes half way opened and then Gary Paulsen came over next to her and started crying.
Gary Paulsen brought cookie to a graveyard and was still very sad especially when he barried her seeing the collar with the number 32 on it
Although cookie left this world, Gary Paulsen learned a valuable lesson from her is that to always see the world around you and don't be afraid to look at it from a different viewpoint.
