Storyboard Text

  • In Verona 1595
  • The Capulets and the Motagues had been fighting for many years. They were both very rich families who lived in Verona in Italy. The Capulets had a daughter named Juliet and the Montagues had a son named Romeo. Romeo loved Rosaline, a woman who doesn't love him back.
  • In Mantua
  • Romeo went with his friends to a party at the Capulets because he knew Rosaline would be there, but when he got there he fell instantly in love with Juliet Lord Capulet's 13 year old daughter, who was part of an arranged marriage to Count Paris. He visits her after the party at her balcony and they arrange to be married in secret.
  • At the party of the Capulets
  • With the help of Friar Lawrence and Juliet's Nurse, Juliet and Romeo got married in secret. However, Romeo later has a fight with Tybalt after he kills Mercutio, who is one of Romeo's friends. Romeo then kills Tybalt which results in him being banished to Mantua. WHen Juliet hears of this, she is distraught and her nurse arranges a night for the newly weds to meet before he has to leave.
  • In the church
  • After the death of Tybalt, Lord Capulet decides to bring forward the marriage of Juliet and Count Paris.Juliet knows that she cannot him because she is already secretly married to Romeo. She visits Friar Lawrence who gives her a sleeping potion that will make her family think that she is dead so that Romeo can take her away from Verona.
  • Romeo does not get the first message that friar Lawrence sent to him about Juliet's sleeping potion, the only message he gets is that Juliet is dead. Hearing this, he travels to Verona and buys a deadly poison there.
  • After Romeo buys the poison, he goes to the church where Juliet is seemingly dead, he speaks to her and then drinks the deadly poison. However as he drinks it, Juliet wakes from her sleep and see that Romeo is dead. She realises that their plans together have failed and decides to be with him in death, she takes the dagger Romeo kept in his belt and stabs herself. When the families discover their dead relatives their feud stops and they decide to build a monument to remember the lovers.
