  •  Billy is in the middle of brushing his teeth when he remembers to eat the worm. So he gets a fog horn and wakes up Allen and Joe yelling to them that he is eating  his worm and he did not forget. He did not have time to cook the worm so he ate it raw.
  • Another time, Billy gets mad because the worm is really big and figures that Allen and Joe glued 2 worms together to make them longer.   At first he refuses to eat because he says they are cheating.  They didn't count that worm and they found another one.
  • Billy gets sent to his room for eating too many worms. Tom's little brother sends up worm to Billy in a bucket. Tom distracts Billy's mother by talking to her. Billy eats last worm and wins the bet. The theme of the story is that if you work hard on something you will succeed.
