I've been really interested in investing and I've already bought a condo with $500 HOA free
I'm about to throw a bowl at this woman!
I've also been investing in life insurance and have locked up for 13 years.
Well by the sounds of it, your "advisor" is making some fat rolls off you and there is absolutely no reason for you to be investing in life insurance when you are 32.
Well, I do only call him once a year. Plus I've gotten my whole family into life insurance because that is what he suggested.
Ok. Well, the next time you talk to him ask him what his commissions are - how he makes money - and why he chose life insurance for you.
Of course you can. He works for you and he's probably making money off you.
Am I really allowed to do that?
Oh okay, I will.
Goodpoint. But if you’re using a commission-based advisor (which you shouldn’t), you have the right to know. And you have the right to put your money in a more appropriate investment than life insurance for a young woman, larded up with unnecessary fees.
Don’t dismiss this girl as stupid. She actually got engaged with her money, which is more than most people do. Unfortunately, she didn’t do her research and probably got taken advantage of by an unscrupulous advisor.
