  • This is my intellectual property. Intellectual property is a work that is the result of the creativity to which one has rights and for which one may apply for a patent, copyright, and trademark.
  • I'll explain what a patent, copyright, and trademark is!
  • Copyright is a legal right that grants the creator of an original work exclusive rights to determine whether the original work may be used by others. 
  • The copyright term is dependent on when the work is created.  If you infringe copyright, you have to be ordered to pay for damages.
  • A patent gives its owner the right to exclude others from making, using, selling, and importing an invention for a limited period. A patent's length is 20 years.
  • A trademark is a recognizable sign, design, or expression which identifies products or services of a particular source from those of others. 
  • The 4 terms of fair use is the purpose and character of the use, the nature of the copyrighted work, the amount of the portion taken, and the effect of the use of potential market
