Stay away from Juliet!
Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone
¨I close my eyes and the flashback starts...See the lights, see the party, the ball gowns. See you make your way through the crowd. And say hello¨ (Swift 2-6).
"And my daddy said, '"Stay away from Juliet"' And I was crying on the staircase Begging you, please, don't go" (Swift 9-11).
"Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone I'll be waiting all thats left to do is run... So I sneak out to the garden to see you" (Swift 13-14,17).
Marry me, Juliet!
Juliet cries because her father banned Romeo from their castle. Juliet feels very passionate that Romeo will come back to her one day. The contrast of this scene makes the tone loving, lighthearted, and hopeful because Juliet cares very much about Romeo and knows he will come back even though he was banned.
"Romeo save me, I've been feeling so alone keep waiting for you but you never come. Is this in my head? I don't know what to think" (Swift 41-43).
Romeo proposes to Juliet "You never have to be alone, I love you and that's all I really know" (Swift 46-47). Romeo and Juliet both got their happy fairy tale ending they've always wanted. The whole song shows the struggles they both went through. In the end, the theme of the song is dreams do come true if you try. The journey these two went through makes me feel jubilant and cheery because even though they struggled, they still ended up together.
