  • The Church scene shows how Ponyboy's feelings changes him in character because in the scene he was feeling nervous for the kids and the fire. But he also was feeling also brave because he was determined to save those kids. Dally wanted Ponyboy to stay out of the situation and he was too determined so he disobeyed Dally. This setting is important to Ponyboy because the chruch is the place where he was sterotypes as a hero and not just a Greaser. Its also important because its the place of the reason of Johnnys death.
  • The character Johnny challenged Ponyboy when he died for him to stay gold. Ponyboy grows from this by writing about his story with Johnny. Ponyboy feels strongly about him because it was his best friend and he didn't deserve to die not cared about by his family, you, or sad. Ponyboys relationhsip with him changed when he was in the hospital because he didn't think of him as a greaser friend he was a brother, that was dieing.
  • This conflict help develop Ponyboy's character because it helps him show that they aren't that different after all. Cherry talks to Ponyboy about how we all have problems, we all go through hardships. And that helped Ponyboy realize that people are people and we after all are all the same. This conflict relates to his everyday life beacuse its what he worrys, and lives in a war everyday.
