  • Slavery in Africa. The slavery started in the 1500's, and is still  happening in some parts of the country today. 
  • Get a move on kid! My dinner is almost ready!
  • Between 1585 and 1866 people started shipping the slaves to the US.  In 1619, the first African american's arrived in  Jamestown, Virginia. They were sold to settlers.
  • Good job, keep going, your break is in 5 minutes.
  • Arriving in the US. Selling slaves like young children to  elderly people to new masters. They would separate family's  and never see each other again.

  • Masters treating slaves badly. In the 1600's, majority of  masters were bad and would give them  nothing in return.
  • Masters treating slaves nicely. In the 1800's  more masters would give the slaves food  in return and shelter.
  • Segregation in America (1954). After slavery reduced in the US, they would let black people and most things that white people would have, but they would be separated.
