  • Climax
  • The king and his council gather around and discuss what kind of festival they should put on. While this meeting is taking place, Hop-frogs friend, Trippetta, is struck by the king and the council sat back and applauded him for striking a defenseless girl.
  • Resolution
  • Hop-Frog plans the festival that the king and his council will play in day and night, but the festival isn't the only thing he is planning.
  • While the townspeople are gathering outside at the festival, Hop-Frog exacts his fiery revenge on the king by entangling him and his council in chains and rising them into the air so no one could help them, he applied tar and other highly combustible items to the king and his men beforehand, and opened the window pane in the ceiling for a quick exit.
  • After Hop-Frog enacts his fiery revenge against the king, he and trippetta run off to their own country, never to be heard from again.
