Storyboard Text

  • Ya'll Get!
  • OLD LADY WITCH!
  • Lizabeth look.
  • In the beginning of the story Lizabeth was an innocent child. She did not fully understand what it meant to have compassion towards the less fortunate like Miss Lottie. The text evidence used in this scene are that kids are shouting and throwing rocks while she is trying to plant her flowers.
  • In the middle of the story Lizabeth is angry and shocked when she finds out that her parents can't support themselves or her. She pulls up the flowers from Miss Lottie's garden. When she does this she believes that this is the transition from child to woman. She then realizes what she has done to the marigolds and is sad.
  • In the end it shows Lizabeth years later realizing that Miss Lottie needed those flowers because it was her light in a dark situation. She feels sympathy and compassion for her. She is thinking about how much Miss Lottie loved those marigolds.
