  • Human Carelessness
  • Drought and Dryness
  • Negative Outcomes to a WildFire
  • Human Carelessness is a handful of reasons why wildfires exist. They can occur from campers that didn't water down the fire. If they leave it overnight it can spread. It can also occur from illegal or uncontrollable fireworks, matches, or/and cigarettes. Remember to always put out the fire!
  • Positive Outcomes of a WildFire
  • A drought with a hot son is a handful of california's wildfires. There are hot weather in the Summer that can't be controlled. Drought is something we can't control though. Remember to always be prepared for an evacuation for a fire like this!
  • What a 6th Grader should do in the Wild
  • There are many negative outcomes of a wildfire. First of all, it affects animal's habitats and homes. Many trees are damaged and many nests are burned. Second of all, many buildings (if any) nearby can be in danger. The people need to evacuate and exit as soon as possible which can lead to stress and panic attacks. Now the wildfires can lead up to 3 billion dollars a year around the U.S. There are many more, but these were some examples.
  • What a 6th Grader should do at home
  • Even though there are many negative effects of a wildfire, there are positive affects as well. A wildfire can cause the decomposition of a treem which exposes the insides. The insides release seeds from the tree, which will cause it to regrow. Also, a wildfire can kill bacteria and insects that are harmful to trees. It also removes long growing underbrush and more. These are only some positive effects.
  • If you are in the wild, and a wildfire occurs, make sure you take water to keep hydrated, clothing to use as a mask, flashlight to light up to signal any wanderers, and a group with you to keep you safe.
  • If you are at home, and there is a wildfire, take water to keep hydrated, phone to call 911, flashlight in case it lasts overnight and to signal anyone, food to calm hunger, pets and family, car with gas and anything else need is fine. Always be safe!
