Hi there, my name is Jessica. I'm here to talk to you about cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is the act of bullying people via the internet or any form of social media.
When I was in high school, I myself experienced cyberbullying. I would come home everyday after school and log onto my Facebook account. I would see endless, cruel comments from people I barely knew.
Cyberbullying is extremely hurtful and can have damaging effects on the victim. Many cyberbullying victims turn to drugs, alcohol, or even suicide, to cope with the level of abuse.
The first step to stopping cyberbullying is to stop the bullies in their tracks. If you see someone cyberbullying someone online, tell a parent, teacher, or adult.
If you see something, say something! Internet safety is a big part of society now and it's very important to be mindful of others.
