Glad you could make it out for a walk!
Thanks for the invite. Did you hear that Angela was just diagnosed with depression?
I heard... but I think mental illness is just a cop-out people use when they aren't strong enough to deal with their lives. It seems like a crutch to me.
I understand why some people hold that belief as there is plenty of inaccurate information on mental illness circulating, but I have to disagree. There is lots of scientific research supporting the existence of mental illness
I have access to a bunch of peer-reviewed, current research on mental health if you are interested in learning more.
Unusual behaviour is often a symptom of abnormal structures and/or activity in the brain, and the latter can usually be detected with different tests. Different things such as genetics, traumatic brain injury and infection can cause our brains to become ill.
I would like that!
I'm sure she will appreciate that! Let's walk the dogs next week again!
I'm going to call Angela when I get home and ask if there is anything I can do to support her through this time, just as I did when she broke her leg last year.
