This is a hard war but it seems like a war for you at home also. How is the movement doing at home?
I don't know Sir, I have not received a letter since I've left Monroeville four months ago.
Finally! A letter from home!
Thank You Charles Malcolm! We are rooting for you!
After Charles tell his General his story, General Todd Smith is very proud and surprised with the young man.
A couple days later, Charles finally received a letter from Monroeville and it explains how the Civil Rights Movement is making a change in their town.
The letter included that schools were now desegregated and that people were becoming more acceptable to change. They not only thanked Charles for helping them but for saving what they called home.
