Coach Bridgewater: stop running!
Coach Mitchell: If you cant do it, stop!
The 4x4 relay was about to start I had no worries until I reached my second curve. Where I tried to turn and try to sprint my leg gave out and my knee popped out of place.
It was the most painful feeling I had ever experienced my coaches screamed for me to stop but I wasn't going to let my team down: I refused.
I was able to finish out my 400 and pass on the baton. Although I was in so much pain, I was not going to quit.
We ended up finishing in third place, I blamed myself for the distance I got us behind. After the meet my knee was popped back into place I was able to walk but just in pain.
When we got back to the school the coaches asked me why I was so down. I explained that I knew I could of done better but I didn't I dissappointed myself and the team.
I remember his exact words "Baby you kept going when you were told not to that shows you are determined and you want to finish what you started. So you went and got it."
