  • As the colonists were unhappy, the British took away the taxes of the Townshend Acts, except for the tea's ones
  • =
  • No more tea taxes!!
  • But since the Americans consumed 1.2 million pounds of tea every year they were still unhappy and they boycotted the British East India Company
  • To repair the damage, the British sent millions of pounds of tea of the British East India Company, duty-free, which was very convenient to the Colonies 
  • A group of rebels called 'sons of liberty' got together and organized what would later be called 'Boston Tea Party'
  • Boston Tea Party
  • They took the British East India Company's tea and threw it in the sea 
  • This was the first step to the unification of the colonies that for the first time showed their strength aginst the British but the independence craved was still far away.
