Storyboard Text

  • I guess so. To think that this all started from a stupid horse bet back when we were horse breeders!
  • So it all ends here. In a duel.
  • You LIAR! My wife was never with him and didn't even know that she was still legally married to him!
  • I always knew you were a coward! And your wife a bigamist!
  • worthless scoundrel!
  • NOOOOO!
  • May 30, 1806. In Harrison's Mills, Kentucky
  • Hahahaaha!
  • How could you!!
  • I'm gonna die!
  • Andrew Jackson and Charles Dickinson were rival horse breeders who had hatred for each other. When Dickinson accused Jackson of cheating on a horse bet, they started arguing and blamelessly accusing one another.
  • Wait! What! How could you still be standing??
  • Within seconds of the duel starting, Dickinson made the first shot and hit Jackson in the chest right next to his heart.
  • YES!  How am I still alive???
  • Ouch this really hurts!
  • Jackson surprisingly didn't fall down immediately and reached for his gun with his hand over his wound.
  • His first shot missed and it would've technically meant that the duel was over, but Jackson fired again....this time making the shot and killing Charles Dickinson.
  • Take this!
  • Jackson survived the wound and the bullet remained in his chest,(right next to his heart), for the rest of his life.
  • No. I couldn't die now. I still have more life to live. I should have won!
