Once upon a time, in an enchanting land, there was a mystical kingdom named Fairytopia. All the fairies were kind hearted and caring except for one fairy by the name of Donatella which meant beautiful gift. As in every kingdom, there would always be a righteous ruler. In Fairytopia, the ruler was the eminent and wise Queen Acelynn which meant noble.
Donatella was well known for having the dazzlingly colourful wings, much to the admiration of many male fairies. She soon became extremely arrogant and malevolent. She started to plot against Queen Acelynn, with her wicked ambition to dethrone the Queen. Upon hearing that, Queen Acelynn decided to teach Donatella a lesson and whisked up a spell to make her realise her mistake.
Queen Acelynn invited Donatella for lunch and served her a seaweed soup mixed with potion that would cast a spell on whoever that drank it. Donatella finished the soup instantly and felt a little tipsy. She soon felt that her wings were transformed into plain dark black. In shock, she rushed to Queen Acelynn and demanded her to explain what had happened.
After that horrific incident, Donatella’s attitude began to improve tremendously. She became a kind and caring person. The moral of the story is that one should not place so much importance on physical appearance as wisdom and kindness are far more important.
Queen Acelynn explained to Donatella that she wanted to teach her that beauty alone is not the most important thing. She could not become Queen just because she was beautiful as a true Queen must also be wise and kind hearted. She must also be able to rule Fairytopia in fairness and peace.
Donatella apologised and begged for her wing’s dazzling colours to be restored. Queen Acelynn agreed to do so on one condition that Donatella would have to do community service work for one year. Donatella relented and began to help as many poor and needy people as possible.
