"The Rime of the Ancient Mariner Storyboard 1
This storyboard does not have a description.
"The ship was cheered, the harbour cleared"
"...And on the right went down into the sea"
"--With my cross-bow I shot the ALBATROSS."
Stanza 6/Line 1 The ship has left the harbor and the story begins.
Stanza 7/Line 3-4 Everyday after they set sail, the sun seemed to rise from the west and set in the east. Since the sun actually rises in the east and sets in the west, this signals that something may be wrong.
Stanza 20/Line 3-4 No longer was it bright and sunny. There were many storms and, it was foggy and cold. The bird appeared to be a bad sign and was shot down.
Stanza 21/Line 1-4 The sun is now rising and setting on the proper sides. This is possibly a hint to reality and nature's cycle. At the time, everything seemed to be okay.
"The sun now rose upon the right... and on the left Went down into the sea"
Stanza 23/Line 3-4 The bird that was shot earlier in the story had made the wind blow. Now that the bird is dead, the wind is also dead. The ship could no longer move.
"...I had killed the bird That nade the breeze to blow"
Stanza 29/Line 1-2 Day after day, they were stuck on that boat. They ran out of food, drink, and had nothing to do but talk. It was as if they were surrounded by what their throats desired.
"Water, water, every where And all the boards did shrink"
