He traveled back to Olympus where he gave out gifts to each one of the gods, and was reunited with his family.
He gave each one of them a hand-made throne to sit on, and when Hera got hers, revenge came.
When Hera sat on her newly made throne, unbreakable chains shot from the chair and tied her down. Hephaestus refused to untie her. Every god tried to persuade him but all failed, until Dionysus got him drunk enough to untie her. Hera and Hephaestus eventually made up, and eventually he became the main weaponmaker for the gods.
