Storyboard Text

  • During the whole of a dark, dull, and soundless day in the autumn of the year, when the clouds hung oppressively low in the heavens, I had been passing alone, on horseback, through a singularly dreary tract of country ; and at length found myself, as the shades of the evening drew on, within the view of the melancholy House of Usher.
  •
  • Hello old friend, I'm inviting you to my house because I haven't been in the best physical or mental state
  • Much that I am encountering on my walk is only heightening my feelings of superstition
  •
  • At first I didn't think his greeting sounded sincere, but now I know it is
  •
  • It's nice to see you, old friend!
  • We sat down; and for some moments, while he spoke not, I gazed upon him with a feeling half of pity, half of awe. Surely, man had never before so terribly altered, in so brief a period, as had Roderick Usher!
  • It would be hard to believe that the person in front of me is my childhood friend if it weren't for his distinct facial features
  • Recently, I've suffered from fear and nervousness, and heightened senses.
  • It seems like he's afraid of his own house
