In 2015, following Gods leading, we loaded up our family and animals to move cross country in order to help my mother in law.
Almost to Arkansas!
It was two days of driving and sleeping in the cars to get to Arkansas. We were so excited to start a new chapter and to help my mother in law.
After much prayer and talking with my husband, it was decided that I was going to go back to school for my Bachelors degree. I have wanted to for some time but the kids needed me.
God provided me with an amazing job at a Civil War Museum, where I started as an interpreter but ended up as Administrative Director. It was my DREAM job! I could do what I loved, work on my degree and receive hands on learning.
We were happy. We LOVED Arkansas, we loved our jobs. And then.... There was a HUGE issue with the Mother in Law. She said she did not need us and did not want us there. She said horrible things to our girls. She said horrible things to us. We were floored. Now what to do?! Why did God bring us all this way? Why did we give up life in Michigan to come help her here?
GO AWAY! I did not ask you to come help me. I do not want you to help me. I do not need you.
God brought us back to Michigan by closing the museum and sending a grandson. We still love Arkansas, and we miss it a lot. Through all of this, I have learned to trust more in God and each other, knowing He will provide for our needs.
