I have chosen life in the home.
One side of my box is about “Who am i? “by Anita Heiss and the other side is about “Sister Heart” by Sally Morgan.
The “Who Am I” side is nicer because it was more towards the end of the stolen generation, but with “Sister Heart” it was more like you're in a pirson. Sister Heart” by Sally Morgan is where girls used to fight in the home and with” Who am I “ it was more nicer because they were younger. In ”Who am I ” Mary is taken away from a younger age (5) and she is not really aware of what is happening. In” Sister Heart”, Annie is taken away much older (13) when she gets to the home she is pushed around and she does not speak.
In “Who am I” it is a nicer than “Sister Heart” because in “Who am I “ they have good bedding and in “Sister Heart” they have terrible bedding “Sister Heart” has no good bedding because they were treated like slaves and slaves don't have nice bedding at all. In “Sister Heart” they had one softball on their beds and in “Who am I”, they had two toys on their beds. The reason why is because the staff in “Who am I” treated the children like their own.
At the home in” Sister Heart” they had a very little shelf that was not meant to be used as a desk but they uses it as it was all they had, the desk only had a vase of flowers. on it. In “Who am I” they had a big desk, paper and a pencil.
