Burning of the Gaspee-1772
In 1763, The representatives of Great Britain and Hanover (one on France & one on Spain sides) came together and signed the Treaty of Paris. Some of the colonists were happy that they won & that is was over. Other Colonists were furious to have won & give back their land after everything they have done.

In 1765, the Parliament of Great Britain decided to introduced the Stamp Act which imposed direct taxes on the colonies of British America. Every colonists were angry at parliament for making them pay direct taxes on ships paper, legal documents, licenses, newspapers, playing cards & other publications.

In 1765, Parliament passed the Quartering Act and king Gerorge III sighned into it as an official law. The Quartering act were to provide British soilders with houseing and food. Colonists were furious on having to take care of soldiers all day & no matter where they are.
Declaration of Independence- 1776
In 1772, British authority allowed colonists to open civil defiance because of Rhode Islanders this caused the Burning of the Gaspee. Islanders boarded and sank the Gaspee which had people burn it before anything else could happen. The colonists felt like they were protecting each other during this act.
In 1774, American Patriots made a series of punitive laws passed by the British Parliament called Intolerable Acts, after the Boston Tea party. They were meant to punish the Massachusetts colonists for their defiance I throwing a large tea shipment into Boston harbor. Colonists were upset that they had to get punished for what other people did & they did not agree with this act.

In 1776, the Thirteen Colonies & Great Britain had been at war for more than a year and relations with the mother country had been done. This brought the Declaration of Independence for all peace in the war. Every colonists was pleased with this peace this brought mo more fighting with Great Britain.
