  • Specificity means we need to work on a specific skill in order to get better at it
  • Overload Means lifting more weights and intensifying your workouts to build strength and endurance
  • Individuality means everyone is different in many ways and everyone does different things
  • Adaptation means you are adjusting to new conditions
  • Progression means your intensity frequency and time should gradually increase over time
  • Principle of Rest and Recovery means you need to rest the stress on your body to relax your muscles
  • Principle of reversibility means a loss of muscular strength and endurance if you don't use it. This does not apply to skills.
