As our 31st president, Herbert Hoover was an optimistic fellow who believed everything would eventually solve itself. Entering office in 1929, Hoover was blamed for the cause of the Great Depression.
Although Hoover imagined a society that would self-correct itself, he did not just stand by and watch the Depression fix itself. Instead, Hoover would encourage people to pick themselves back up on their feeack up and work. He believed if he gave the people what they wanted, them everyone would stop working resulting in the end of the economy.
