The story of Thomas Van Uden
This storyboard does not have a description.
I'm leaving behind my wife and two kids because once you reach my age 30 you have to voyage. So now everyone is sad and angry.
Hurry up with that goodbye!!
Wake up and paddle!
Stop crying you little baby!
My brigade is horrible! I hate paddling and my hands are all blistered and my arms feel like they're going to fall off.
We decided to portage today because the rapids were crazy and it was rainy. I had to carry the cargo packs and the rest carried the canoe.
We made it to Lake Superior and the water is freezing! We hugged the shore line because we have a four man brigade.
We are at the rendezvous! All of our hard work has paid off.
I had to make a decision if I was going to winter or not. I decided no because in Lachine when you're my age you just have to voyage the summers and you don't have to winter. My family already has enough money, but voyaging makes life for my family even easier.
