Storyboard Text

  • In a small town lived a 16 year old peasant girl. She left to go to the army at the same time. She has been hearing voices every since she was 13 years old. At age 17, she heard the voice of God say to help Charles become King
  • "Did God just speak to me?"
  • "Ummm?"
  • After leaving, Joan cut her hair, dresses like a boy and and asked to fight. To test her, the King disguised himself as a peasant while a fake king was at the throne. She walked in and kneeled in front of the king. She truly convinced him.
  • "Do you believe me now? God had truly sent me!"
  • Her goal while going to fight in battle was to free the city of Orleans. She was then shot in the shoulder with an arrow. She then pulled the arrow out and got back up. She was very successful. Later, Charles is crowned King.
  • "ATTACK!"
  • Joan leaves without permission and she is captured 18 kilometers north of Paris.Charles refuses to pay ransom after everything she has done for him. So England takes the chance and pays the ransom for Joan, and they hand her over.
  • "You may take her."
  • "Thank You."
  • She was captured by England and they put her on trial for Witchcraft, heresy and spreading beliefs. She had spent 2 years in prison but soon signed a confession. She then finds out that she will die anyways, so she takes back the confession and admits to everything that she had done.
  • "I take back what I said, I did commit those crimes!"
  • She was burned by the stake while a crowd gathered around. She had died with no mercy and did not scream. In 1455, she was then accused of being innocent. In 1920, she was then recognized as a saint.
  • "JESUS!"
