  • Setting-Park
  • Setting-Church
  • Character-Darry
  • The park is where the greasers hangout and go to when they have problems. The park is a very important setting that influences Ponyboy's journey. This is where the socs meet Johnny and Ponyboy to jump them. If this hadn't have happened then Johnny wouldn't have killed Bob and ran away to the city.
  • The church is where Ponyboy and Johnny run away when Johnny had killed bob. There they hide in the church until they find that the church has burned up. This influences Ponyboy's story because if the church was caught on fire, the three wouldn't have been in the hospital and Darry and Soda wouldn't have gone to see them.
  • Darry is a tough and strong greaser. He has to take care of two teenagers and still work to support them. Ponyboy has mixed feelings towards Darry. Ponyboy thinks he likes Sodapop more then Darry. Darry doesn't let Ponyboy drop out of school and makes sure he gets good grades. Darry was the one who made Ponyboy go to Johnny to see if he would run away with Ponyboy.
