Hello! My name is Joel and you wonder why I am here?
Well, today I am going to talk about the fermentation process and how it is used in our day to day
Fermentation is a catabolic process of incomplete oxidation, totally anaerobic, the final product being an organic compound.
In living beings, fermentation is an anaerobic process and it does not involve the mitochondria or the respiratory chain. They are typical of microorganisms, such as some bacteria and yeasts.
Fermentations can be:Natural, when environmental conditions allow the interaction of microorganisms and suscptible organic substrates
Or artificial, when man favors conditions and the referred contact.
