Hey! I just dropped an apple and a bowling ball at the same time and they hit the ground simultaneously!
That's because gravity makes things accelerate toward the Earth at the same rate; it doesn't matter what mass they are!
Exactly! Because the apple is lighter, it hits the ground with less force, but still at the same speed!
Oh. But the bowling ball is heavier... does that mean it hits the ground with a larger force, even though they're going the same speed?
Oh yeah! The force when they hit the ground is the product of the mass AND the acceleration!
