Today's question is, "Should the President Offer Tax Breaks to Individual Companies to Keep Jobs in the U.S.?"
Considering both sides of this argument, this debate will be controversial and show two different sides of opinions. Let's get started!
In the YES side of the argument, people say that Trump’s tax proposal would help the U.S. economy grow. It would also bring more jobs to America.
On the NO side, Trump’s tax proposal would only cause private companies to make threats about job losses in exchange for tax breaks. America is currently 21 trillion dollars in national debt and doesn't need to be added to.
To help provide evidence for the YES side, an article wrote that by 2030, about 38% of U.S jobs will be lost to robots, and currently 1 million jobs have already been lost to other countries.
To provide evidence for the NO side, an article was written saying that compared to the $65 million that state officials have said would be given to Carrier, that amount of money is going to seem small compared to the amount the big companies will be making.
