  • 1786-1836, U.S. Frontier (Tennessee, Texas, Alabama) Frontiersman, Folk Hero, Congressmen Fought in the military, involved in politics, lived on the frontier Election to congress, Native American Massacre. "You may all go to Hell and I will go to Texas." Davvy Crockett was a wild man, who cared about his country, but sometimes defended it with outlandish ideals.
  • Davvy Crockett
  • 1783-1833 Pennsylvania, Missouri Trapper, Explorer, Wilderness Survivor. Was in an expedition and was injured and left for dead, managed to make his way back to his camp alone. Unable to get revenge on the men who left him because one was a child and one was in the military. "As long as you can still grab a breath you fight" Hugh Glass was very brave and determined, but was vengeful.
  • Hugh Glass
  • 1798-1831 California. First person to enter California from the east and return using a land route. Traveled to and from California in a party. Some members of the party were killed by Mohave Indians. "I wanted to be the first to view a country on which the eyes of a white man had never gazed." Jedediah Smith was very motivated.
  • Daniel Boone
  • Davvy Crockett at his career in politics, being elected to congress. In many ways, this was just as big a part of his life as the adventuring side.
  • Hugh Glass being treated by a group of Native Americans who he encountered during his long journey home.
  • Daniel Boone and his party of adventurers fighting with Mohave Indians on their way back from their expedition to Yellowstone, in the battle in which Boone was eventually slain.
