-born August 25, 1530 in Kolomenskoye, Moscow, Russia -When Ivan was three years old, his father died from blood poisoning. -They believe his mother died from assassination by poison. -His religion was Russian Orthodox.
1. In 1547, Ivan was crowned tsar of Muscovy 2. In 1560, Ivan went into deppression after his 1st wife died. His actions/behavior became more erratic. He then threatened to abandon the Throne. 3. In 1584, Ivan's health became poor, and he suddenly became obssesed with death. He would call upon witches and soothsayers to sustain him.
Ivan the Terrible'sform of Absolutism was Absolute Monarchy. He was given his right tomake rules by someone of higher power. He could raise taxes, be part of the justice and foreign policy, etc.
