I'm so excited to learn about Cuba and tour the country!
Grace is going on a missions trip to 4 countries. She is going to her hometown city, memphis, in Tennessee first.
Grace learned that the United States is a market economy because the people get to pick their jobs, make their own choices, and own their own property. This helps the people be independent and live the life they want. She learned that the United States is a lucky country since they are not owned by the government.
Flying to Haiti
Grace is on her way to Cuba and will be there in about 8 hours!
Today I learned that Cuban people aren't allowed to pick their jobs or own their own land. This is called Command Economy, which discourages indivdual profit. This means that the money goes to the government.I feel bad for these people. They are ruled by the government & can't make their own choices! I'm sure glad to be living in America!
Hola, Como estas?
Grace is so excited to learn all about Haiti and their traditional economy!
She made it & is learning so much already! She was able to help out some poeple while learning about how they live. Haiti is a traditional ecoomy, so they sell their own and trade with others in markets to make a living. This means that the pople have to compete to make money, but even so, this money is very little. But the people of Haiti are still joyful!
