King Priam and Queen Hecuba ruled the city of Troy. They had 52 children.
One night, Hecuba had a dream. In the dream, Hecuba gave birth to a torch.
The day after Hecuba had the dream, she visited the priests at the temple. They told her that her son would be the ruin of Troy.
Soon, Hecuba gave birth to a son.
King Priam ordered for the boy to be taken and killed. A slave agreed to do so, but instead of killing him, he took the baby to the mountain side and left him. A bear found the baby and took him under its wing.
A few weeks later, the slave came back and rescued the child. He took him to his own house and looked after the baby.
