  • Perseus was bore by Danae and Zesus, but was thrown into the sea because an oralce told his grandfather that Persues would be more powerful than his grandfather. Perseus was found and grew up into a strong man on a small island. Perseus was mostly raised by Dictys and Danae.
  • Meeting With The Mentor
  • Polydectes told Perseus that Polydectes would tell Perseus of a gift if Perseus brought Polydectes the head of Medusa.
  • Crossing The Threshold
  • Perseus was reluctant and he knew that the journey could not be done alone. He knew that Medusa was a scary, dangerous creature.
  • Tests, Allies, And Enemies
  • Athena flew down and gave Perseus directions, advice, and weapons for the journey.  Athena said to use a mirror and a sword to defeat Medusa. Hermes also guided Perseus to the Grey Land.
  • Come hither! I will tell you the way and how to defeat Medusa!
  • Perseus went to the Grey Land after leaving home. They would help Perseus find the Nymphs of the North. The Nymphs of the North would give Perseus gifts.
  • Hermes and Athena mentored Perseus. Medusa was the enemy Perseus tried to defeat. The Nymphs of the North gave gifts to Perseus to help him defeat Medusa.
