I have a younger brother, Peter. He is the most important person in my life. He is loving, funny, and cheerful.
I could never understand why people looked at him differently.
He was even rejected from a school because parents didn't want him around their kids.
I'm sorry we can't accept your application
But what no one else saw was the playful, loving and intelligent boy that was my brother.
I'm gonna get you!
People only saw him as autistic, which was apart of him, but did not define him.
Why's he making so much noise?
He doesn't belong in a nice place like this!
Can't they make him quieter?
My brother had taught me something that I will forever be grateful for, my ability to accept people for their differences!
I would go on to do school presentations in an attempt to make people realize what they were missing out on by shutting people like Peter out of their lives, and I hope that other people could learn to love them just as I do.
