No doggo's were harmed in the making of this comic
We begin our journey on Earths surface. There are three compositional layers; The crust, mantle and core. There are five physical layers; the lithosphere, asthenosphere, mesosphere, outer core, and inner core. The crust is 5-100 km thick. It is the thinnest layer. There are two types of crust- continental and oceanic.
To get to the mantle, Adrian and I will go down this totally safe hole.
Here we are at the Mantle. The mantle is the layer of rock between the crust and the core. The mantle is 67% of Earth's mass. It is 2,900 km thick.
Down to the core they go....
*pant* Finally..... the core... I had to leave Adrian in the mantle because it's so hot down here. The core is 33% of Earth's mass. It is 3,400 km thick. It is mostly made out of iron. And so, our journey ends....*dies*
