I know I have told Creon to go to the Oracle of Delphi and find out how to stop it.
King Laius' murder is causing the plague, if the murderer is banished the plague will rise.
Hubris: Oedipus shows Hubris when he sates that he is the "lands avenger" this shows that he thinks too highly of himself and shows excessive pride.
I am the lands avenger I will find the murderer of the King and banish him from Thebes.
Tiresias, "the blind prophet" please tell me who murdered King Laius.
I do not wish to speak about this.
Why!! Is it because you murdered him?
I will give you what you wish but your arrogance comes with a price.
Hamartia: Oedipus shows Hamartia, or a flaw or error of judgment, when he keeps pushing Tiresias to tell him who the murderer of King Laius was, which turned out to be Oedipus. Him pushing caused his whole life to turn upside down.
