  • During the Industrial Revolution families needed more than one income to survive, and cheap labor was needed in the factories, so women joined the work force
  • The women now had to maintain their houses, take care of the children, and make money at their tiring jobs, and they were fed up
  • Women realized the inequality that was present, so they fought to get the same rights that men had
  • The Seneca Falls Convention was held, and the women there debated, created, and signed the Declaration of Sentiments, which extended existing rights to women.
  • In 1920 the 19jth Amendment was adapted and women's right to vote was now protected by law.
