  • CONFLICT

  • Oh no! I have chosen the paper with the black dot!
  • In the Exposition, the young boys were collecting rocks for the Lottery. While the boys were collecting rocks, the young girls talked to each other. The Adults and the other citizens talked about the lottery and the town.
  • CLIMAX
  • Oh no! since I got the Black dot that means i'll get stoned.
  • The conflict of this part of the story is that everyone is scared that they will get picked. If they get picked then they will get rocks thrown at them and probably die.
  • FALLING ACTION
  • THIS IS NOT FAIR!!!
  • The Rising action of this story was when Mr. Hutchinson Picked his paper and it had the Black dot on it. This means that someone in his family will get stoned. 
  • RESOLUTION
  • The Hutchinson family all choose a piece of paper. Mrs. Hutchinson was the family member who got the black dot! This means she'll get stoned.
  • The Stones were ready to be used. They want to finish quickly because they wanted to end the Lottery. Mrs. Huchinson was really scared and they thought the lottery was unfair.
  • Mrs. Huchinson finally was hit once and now about to be stoned to death!
