  • Hi, my name is King Henry the VIII. I want to divorce my wife Catherine because she did not produce a male heir for me. 
  • I would like to divorce my wife
  • No sorry the Catholic Church does not believe in divorce.
  • I no longer believe and follow the Catholic Church 
  • King Henry the VIII was born on the 28th of June 1491 in London. He was the founder of the Church of England. King Henry wanted to divorce his first wife Catherine because she did not produce a male heir.
  • The Church was established by an act of parliment 
  • I declare myself head of the Church of England
  • King Henry went to the Catholic Church to ask for a divorce but the Church did not agree they believed that when you marry you stay with that partner for life.

  • Later Henry split from the Catholic church because they did not believe in divorce. this occurred during the time between 1532 and 1534. To help Henry with his struggles with the church her needed help from the protestants
  • I am here to re-build the Church of England and make it a better place.

  • With Henry no longer apart of the Catholic Church in 1534 he wanted to create his own Church that let him get a divorce, he called it the Church of England. He later then married Anne but then later divorced Anne was also executed on charges of treason, Henry remarried four times after. Also in 1534 King Henry declared himself as the 'supreme head on earth of the Church of England.
  • After King Henry retired from head of the Church of England, his Catholic daughter Mary know as 'Bloody Mary' went to the throne and attempted to use fear and death to bring back the Church of England.
  • Mary was later overthrown by her half-sister Elizabeth I. Elizabeth was a Protestant, she helped re-build the Church of England.
