Well you see, this isn't just some virus that you can walk away from. In fact, it isn't even a virus at all, it's a type of malware, called ransomware, that usually holds your data hostage until you pay a certain sum of money. In this case, it seems the hackers want you to pay 0.001 bitcoin, or about $23.79, which is not surprising considering of how little value your data is to you and buyers on the dark web.
There's a way to fix it right??
Shut up please, I'm trying to explain something here to our viewers. The way ransomware works is by you downloading it from somewhere, usually a sketchy link or advertisement. After downloading it, it completely locks your data, not allowing you to use any or access any of it until you pay the ransom that was asked for.
????????
Obviously, the easiest way to avoid this problem would just be to avoid clicking on suspicious links. But since it was your own doing that lead to this computer getting ransomware, I'm going to let you deal with it.
