  • Lets rob this store for fun.
  • Me too, we don't do anything all day with no school.

  • I agree.
  • Everybody should be able to go to school like we do. We need more schools.
  • Prudence Crandall-1833
  • I'm not letting you go to school if black people are there.
  • In the cities poor children stole, destroyed property and set fires. Education would help the children escape poverty and become good citizens.

  • I'm so happy I get to be in school like the boys.
  • Horace Mann was one of the luckier kids and was able to attend school ten weeks a year. He noticed other kids werent as lucky though.

  • By the 1850's-1860's many states in the North and West used Mann's ideas on building public schools. Most universities were accepting female students.
  • Horace Mann knew more needed to be done to increase the amount of African Americans and women in school and thanks to him change happened.
