Eurydice was the wife of Orpheus, who loved her very much, and on their wedding, he sang while Eurydice danced in the meadow.
Later in life, Aristaeus saw her and pursued Eurydice. Because of this she was stepped on and got bit by a viper, and she died instantly.
Orpheus wept and sang and eventually, his deities told him to go to the underworld and bring Eurydice back. Orpheus took advantage of his deities telling him to go and retrieve Eurydice.
To get Eurydice, he traveled and on the way, his music softened the hearts of other Gods, giving him permission to retrieve Eurydice.
To get Eurydice back into the upper world, the rule was that Orpheus could not look back at Eurydice until they both got into the upper world. Orpheus soon started to think Hades had stolen her.
When Orpheus reached the upper world, he turned to look back at Eurydice. This backfired though, because Eurydice was not into the upper world yet. When Orpheus saw her, the rule was broken and Eurydice was sent back into the under world. After, Orpheus was killed because of because of this and he was reunited with Eurydice.
